Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Maine Awards Grant Funding to Twelve Maine Organizations Totaling $103,800 in 2008

RMHC of Maine’s new website, www.rmhcmaine.org, provides grant application information. Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) of Maine recently announced that in 2008 it awarded $103,800.00 in funding to twelve Maine non-profit organizations. Since its founding in 1989, RMHC of Maine has awarded more than $1.5 million in charitable grants to programs that positively impact families and children across Maine.

RMHC of Maine is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help children live happier, healthier and more productive lives. While the Portland and Bangor Ronald McDonald Houses® are the cornerstone of the charity, RMHC of Maine’s support goes beyond the Houses.

In 2008, RMHC of Maine awarded funding to the following organizations:
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine, Portland
  • Broadreach Family & Community Services, Rockland/Belfast
  • Camp Sunshine, Casco
  • Easter Seals Maine, Statewide Outreach
  • Equestrian Therapeutic Riding Center, Biddeford
  • Fort Kent Food Pantry, Fort Kent
  • Jobs for Maine Graduates, Statewide Outreach
  • New England Film Academy, Portland
  • Old Town/Orono YMCA, Old Town and Orono
  • Penobscot Community Health Center, Bangor
  • Ronald McDonald Family Room, Maine Medical Center, Portland
  • Ronald McDonald House, Bangor

RMHC of Maine recently launched a new website, www.rmhcmaine.org. There, in addition to information about the Charities, non-profit organizations will find information about the grant application process and qualifications to apply.  Those wishing to make a donation to RMHC of Maine will find the necessary contact information on the site as well.
